How the Thrive Physically & Mentally While Working From Home

Have you found yourself working from home?


Over the past few weeks, the challenges of remote working; how to be productive, deal with family pressures and emotional ‘stress’ has been a hot topic with my clients.


Realising that this is a new experience for many, and having been working from home for quite a few years, I want to support you in this dramatic shift from working in an office to working from home full-time. 


I recall the first few months of me working from home. At the end of the day, I’d find I had barely done any work at all… but had an immaculate house! 

Other evenings, I would find myself feeling quite anxious because any time I sat down to work, my housemate would distract me and I’d either snap at her, or delay doing my work.


Needless to say, I found myself quite stressed, constantly thinking about work, struggling to switch-off as well as how to be productive at the times I sat down to work.


Today, I am able to work remotely wherever I am based, and I’ve unpacked my learnings into 4 main areas:

– Time management: Juggling life and work obligations within the same space

– Relationships: Creating boundaries for family & friends that my usually be a distraction

– Mental & physical health: Ensuring you stay feeling motivated and balanced during this period of isolation

– Productivity:  How to be effective in work time, and learn to switch-off afterwards too
